One of the founders and the distiller of these rums, Daniel Regueira, is a good friend of mine, and his rums are easily my favorite local product. I love to blind taste people on this - people have guessed everything from Haiti to Jamaica, NEVER Chicago. It's some of the best domestic rum, and Daniel is really developing his own style of distilling. Oh! And they’re one of the only worker cooperative spirit companies in the world!
